• Core Aeration - We aerate your lawn with equipment that removes a 2 to 3 inch core plug of soil and re-deposits it on the turf surface. This function allows oxygen to get to the root zone and improves the soils ability to absorb water. The plugs that are deposited on the turf will breakdown naturally and amend the soil surface. Lawn aeration should be completed at least once a year, either in the spring or fall.
  
  
• Over-Seeding - Like most living things, turf can go through spells of success and failure. Since most lawns are established by using one type of seeds or turf, we encourage you to diversify the type of turf in your lawn. Over-seeding with a mix or blend of different seeds can enrich your lawn, make it more stress resistant, fortify it from disease and improve its resilience. We use a blend of 6 different turf type seeds that were specifically formulated for the St. Louis region. We have seed blends for various site conditions like sun, shade or a combination of both. Over-seeding your lawn will, without question, provide vitality to your lawn!
  
  
• Power Rake - The build-up of thatch can starve the root zone of turf from receiving oxygen and nutrients from the environment. Hatch is a result of grass clippings left over from mowing and other debris that falls upon the turf surface. It is imperative that the build-up of thatch be removed from the surface of the soil periodically. For most property sites, removal of thatch can be completed every two or three years. In some extreme cases a yearly regime may be necessary. H 2 Pro, Inc. can perform this service for you and remove the spoils from your property site.
  
  
• Soil Testing - - H 2 Pro, Inc. will take core samples from your lawn and send them to a laboratory for analysis. This is a simple process that most homeowners will never utilize. The results of the analysis will reveal the true make up of your soil. The report, which takes about 4 weeks, will outline how your lawn should be amended or treated to improve the soil structure. The soil structure is one of the most important elements that directly affect the health of turf and plant material.
